Every year CAPS holds Zoo Awareness Day to raise awareness of the suffering of animals in zoos. This is held on Easter Monday, one of the busiest times of the year for the zoo industry. First started more than ten years ago this event raises awareness of the animal rights and conservation issues surrounding zoos.
